Blog, Cartão de Visita

Table of Contents

nsla 'tome meu cartão de visitas, ligue quando puder!' en pt | jq -c '.result'
{"alternatives":["take my visiting card, call when you can!","take my business card, call me when you can!","take my business card, call it when you can!"],"translatedText":"take my business card, call when you can!"}

Well, the title should now be "Blog, Business Card".

My Life

I've always looking for a way to tell people "hey, I know X" but with a implicit "I know it's not too much, I amm still improving to do it better".

In other words, I hate the arrogant self marketing, it feels arrogant. I want to believe that "if you need to tell others you're not blind, you're blind". For sure this is far from being a absolute truth, but I kinda have a plan.

To make it work, I need other ways to introduce myself, ideally inspiring others.

I tried make a "default portfolio" website, telling exactly what I want to make you believe about me: "I am a good professional, trust me". Yeah, seems pathetic.

I'll be honest, I think the site is cool, you can see it here. Low amount of JS and works well without it, integration with my old blog and self-hosted Gitea which doesn't exists anymore…

Anyway. This is boring.

Indirect Solution

Blog/Devlog/(anything you'd want to call it) is indirect.

It is like a "hey, take a look on how my mind works when I'm in public". I like this, kinda raw but less annoying.

There are awesome blogs that aggregates a lot, and this is a second point: A blog is useful for the reader (at least it should be).

A portfolio teaches nothing, it's boring as watching a ad. But a blog in other hand, can be useful, and this is awesome.

It's not cool to send a link to a friend and tell:

Please, this is my portfolio, share with your pals

You seem desperate, and not even counting the debt, in case he shares. It's much better to say:

Hey, I think this post might help you.

This way both can be helped.

Despite this simplistic example and bringing no proves of it's reliability, I'm convinced that my allegation makes sense and a blog can replace a regular portfolio. "Makes Sense™"

Let's see how many jobs I get because of this blog :b
